Title: 83 scottsdale subwoofer box
Post by: 83scottsdale on September 10, 2012, 04:00:40 pm
I was wondering if anyone knows who makes boxes to fit behing the seat of these old single cabs. Has anyone had experience with them?

I have this one:

My seat is all the way back and it fits just fine.

Is that a 10 or a 12 inch woofer?

I'm actually planning on going with this whenever i get around to it. I realize i could get better performance with a seperate sub and amp, but i just want a little more thump is all..

I made my own. Read this thread, about halfway down is where the box build is.

The seat is all of the way back, so If you wanted you could use the measurements to base your own design off of or just duplicate it. Looking back on it now, I probably should have mounted the amp under the seat instead of the cut out on the box, because its surprisingly difficult to find another amp that will fit in the wedge.

I got the kicker cvt 102 loaded enclosure. Seems like its built for the truck and hits hard!
