Alto of work to retrofit something else in there when you could just replace the stock switch valve.
-
true but i am not paying 149 for a new one and i dont order stuff online
-
149 for a new one is not to bad
you would probably spend just about that in parts just to make a homemade one that would not work as nice as a switch on the dash
-
Any local parts store can get them..

The 3 port valve is $50 bucks at autozone http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Duralast-Fuel-Tank-Selector-Valve/1981-GMC-K1500-1-2ton-P-U-4WD/_/N-ilp13Z8ve9x?itemIdentifier=125310_334726_5320_
