Swapping out a 350 turbo and putting in a 700r4
Does anybody have drawings, dimentions or anything for a cool crossmember. I really like the ones that Bowtie Overdrives sells but why buy when you can build it yourself.
The old one is just too ugly to go back on. It was one of the ones set up for exhaust on one side only and I am running headers and dual exhaust. It was a bear to try to get everything tucked up and still go under the one side.
If no body has anything good maybe I will take photos and dim.s when I buld mine and put it up.
OH yeah for some reason everytime I try to "search" for crossmember it gives me a timeout message right away ???

Not a custom part, but does the job. It's from an old ('73-'74) 1 ton. It was a creeper gear 4 speed truck. Lorne

Huh, something to look into, would definatly be strong enough.
I really like the driveshaft saftey loop. Guess you need it when your picking the front wheels up. HA love the avatar!
I was planning on putting one under there sometime soon, Your photo reminded me.
Dont plan on launching that hard, but I had a rear u-joint break on my Jeep just leaving a stop light and I thought it was going to come through the floor.
Oh yeah to search for crossmember your need to type "cross member"
