Title: Dash cover
Post by: Magic1 on September 30, 2012, 12:15:29 pm
Anybody had any luck with installing a cover over their dash? Way wondering how well they fit and if they cover everything nice and flush.

here's mine. making sure everything is level underneath will go a long way in how it turns out. By that I mean if you are bridging some big gaps, it can make things wavy.

That looks good. Did it come with glue and cleaner to install it with?  My dash now has a couple of cracks and the vent hole section on each end of the top is brittle and broke.

it came with a tube of silicone and instructions. As long as the cracks aren't too wide it shouldn't be a problem. My biggest problem was the thin area behind the defroster vents. I had to add some filler so everything would rest level.

The insert on my dash was toast. Instead of replacing it, I used a piece of cherry wood I had laying around and put an emblem on it.
