Title: ford 9 inch disc brake rearend in a 2wd truck?
Post by: 80stepsideguy on March 07, 2006, 12:48:00 pm
Hi all,
i know i wont be doing this swap but has anyone ever swapped a ford 9 inch under the rear oftheir truck?I purchased a lincoln versailles rearend originally for my 70 cougar convertible bt decided its not worth it doing the swap. Then i was contemplating on doing the swap to my stepside, then decided i already got a 12 bolt under there why do i want to do that?I am in the process of selling this rearend to get back the money i spent on it.Would this rearend be a good rearend for someone for a 2wd truck?

thanks
pat

Yes, it is very popular swap.  Bolt spacing is the same also.
