Ok i know it sounds crazy... But I have a spare frame laying behind the barn and an opportunity to get a crew cab for a decent price... Always liked the idea of making a crew cab bobtail type 4x4, as in the remaining amount of frame have a flat bed type look for like a spare or tools etc.. Do I just sound stupid or does anyone else think it might look good? Back to why I started this... Is it possible to put crew cab on regular frame with out chopping it up? I'm fine with moving mounts etc. just don't wanna have to cut it in half. I know how our frames have kinda a step pattern to them and that's really the only thing bothering me.. I kinda need input ASAP before he sales it but anyways thanks for any input as long as you intend for it to be helpful to me lol

You would have to remove the rear floor / the bottom of the rear wall / rear cab mount area, and build something to clear the frame where it rises up to meet the bed mount area.

That's what I was thinking, also it would be sitting half way over my wheels :/

If I had time and parts ,I'd build one too . A suburban frame might work better though .

Go for it!!! :D

A longbed would work, but not a shortbed, and you would have to modify it... BTW a Suburban is shorter than a LWB truck... (wheelbase)
