Title: Another one of my old pickups.
Post by: Blazin on October 12, 2012, 01:56:06 am
Was going through some old pics ( 3&1/2 floppy disc, thats how old they are ).
Found posibly one of the only pics I have of Ol Red.
78 K20, mild 350, SM465, 205, with 4:10s.
I drove that truck like I stole it allot! It wasn't much to look at, but it was a great truck!
Had no dash pad at all, no radio, or floor mat. But it wheeled half fair with 33s on it, and would leave a wicked patch of rubber with a light breeze from the left foot on the brake pedal.

Some of my fondest memories are with old trucks like that. I've had several new ones and while they are nice, I'd much rather have an old one that I'm not afraid to use. They're much more fun!

In my defense, most of the dents in that truck were there when I bought it. I did hit a tree with it in the end, thats what took it off the road. I was avoiding a collision with an 87 step side that came flying out of his driveway taking up 3/4s of the narrow dirt road.
It had a 292 I 6 when I got it. It dropped compression in one cylinder. Thats when we threw together a 350 with an RV cam, headers, dual plane Edelbrock intake with a fresh quadrajet.
