Title: Rocker repair but not on a Chevy.
Post by: Blazin on October 18, 2012, 01:01:23 am
79 Mack RD. Just get it inspectable!
Rocker and lower door jamb rotted out. Someone had put a new piece of sheet metal in the bottom flat section of the jamb. They went right over the non skid tape from the factory, and the rust! Dug a big pile of spray foam out of the cab corner / back half of the rocker.

My camera battery died after that pic. I didn't remember to charge it the next day before he picked it up. It was a close is good spray bomb job as he plans on selling the truck after the first of the year.

looks great.... i really like the look of these old mack trucks.... hearing the tuck tuck tuck of that old diesel engine in the morning, and drinking a cup of coffee ready to start the day is great...
