I recently purchased my 85' C10. The previous owners kid decided he was going to wax the truck to make it look better before his dad sold it. I'm guessing he started at the hood an got bored really quick. The entire hood had a very noticible white film like he just left it there. I've tried clay baring it, detail sprays and NOTING is getting the job done. Any tips?? I'm to my wits end.

this may sounds crazy but i have done it.... use a rag with a little gasoline to wipe all the wax off... then wash the truck with soap and water.... and then you can rewax it....

wax and grease remover

Any prep solvent that's used to remove wax, and grease before painting will remove it. Is the paint crazed, or so dull that its lost its sheen. If so, and they applied wax to it you might not be able to remove it all.
