Name is Sean and Im the proud owner of my 1982 Chevy C30 dually. This is a 1-ton truck with a 350sbc engine, 4spd granny gear, 2wd, with 154k miles. Mechanically sound truck with no issues and a great body. Cab corners have very minor rust however I have cab corners I am putting in tomorrow. I was offering a trade for a 73 K5 blazer I had and guy called me with this truck and offered a even swap. I was surprised to find it in this good of shape. I am however looking for a factory bed for it. May consider putting a wrecker bed on it. Only time will tell. ;D

Nice ride. Make sure your wheel base is 131.5 before you go getting a bed. If it is a cab and chassis the bed will not bolt right up without making some new holes

nice ride man! looks great!

Very nice! what are your plans for the flatbed on there now?
-
Well turns out this was a cab and chassis truck factory and were no factory bed bolt holes ( I should have known that since it was a VDOT state truck). Any how it now has a factory bed and I sold the flatbed. Truck looks better with the factory bed. I am However planning on converting to a 4wd truck so I am looking for a 4wd axle and a 4spd granny trans with transfer case from a 1980-1982 Chevy C30 duallie to convert it. I also added some bumper guides from a 1989 Peterbilt 379 Long nose as well. I am planning on painting truck and adding a LUND visor. Might even add a custom front bumper with a brush guard if I cant find a factory made guard. Who has stuff to fit it that they want to sell? Thanks.
FUTURE PLAN for winter: Drop a 4BT Cummins Turbo Diesel in it.

Did you have to shorten the frame in back? I seem to have a similar issue with my 1984 C30. I haven't measured the wheel base yet but I suspect it is longer than 131.5 inches and will wind up with the same gap between the bed and cab... Bummer...
