Title: phantom grill
Post by: Mike85Silverado on November 07, 2012, 12:20:14 pm
so I was thinking of getting a phantom grill off ebay but I have a question.
Do you remove the headlight bezels in order to fit the grill on?
Im missing a lot of bolts for my stock grill and bezels, so I wanted to just get a new grill and hardware anyways.

Also, how do I remove the chrome trim under tail lights? just rip it off?

Depends on what kind of grille you are talking about?

For the tailight question, are you talking about the molding or the trim on the tailights?

Aren't all phantom grills the same?
The moulding, not the trim around the tail lights

Anyone? And for removing the molding strip under the back window, I know I just slide it off but how do I take off the little clips that hold the molding on?

There are studs on my 84. You can get to the nuts by removing the complete taillight assemblies. Not just the lenses.
2 studs on each piece.

Sorry, quoted the wrong post.

If it is a full phantom grille the headlight bezels have to come out or the grille will not fit over the headlights.
