Is their any real gain in converting from stock upper/lower control arms to tubular control arms?

Unless you are riding at stock height, the only advantage of going to tubulars is a slick looking front end that is quite a bit lighter. If you are already lowered, the 3" drop you get from the arms is too much for most ride(riding on the bumpstops).
