I was looking at buying a 77 chevy 4x4. The truck is a short wheelbase with 400 and auto trans. It has a 9J9 copo option on the spid for a factory roll bar. I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen a truck with this option?

My 77 was a sport. It had the rollbar.
Here's the truck in 1997 when I owned it. I know the whole trucks history as my dad bought it new.
Here's a link to my page with pics of it. The rollbar on it came stock.

I had so many JEEP guys back in the day pull up to me and ask where I had my rollbar made. I had to tell em, it came stock on the truck new... I think they didn't believe me... 8)
If your truck is a true sport, it should have a switch on the dash where the fuel tank selector switch is on most trucks, sports had an "AUX LIGHTS" switch in the same place by the ash tray. that switch is supposed to power the lights on the rollbar.

That is interesting. Where was the fuel tank switch? Or were dual tanks not an option on models with a rollbar?
