Picked up a 1984 454 / TH400, with a cab, and chassis full floating rear end with 41,000 miles on it out of a Winnebago motor home today. Also got 8 bud wheels, with two nice 7.50x16 tires. Going to sell the tires to a guy for his trailer. Got the rear air suspension air bags too. Very similar to a big trucks pusher, or tag axle bags, but used for overload in a motor home application. Rear springs, and 3 cross members identical to the one between the front rear spring hangers on our trucks. All with the original paint on them!
It also had a set of these on it. http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/WheelBalance/index.shtml
I skarfed them up as well!
Got all of it for $600 trade off in labor over several jobs for the guy. Take a little off each bill for work on his trucks etc. He does dirt work, cord wood etc.

Nice finding.
People are still willing to pay good money for big blocks.
I sold one last yearfor $750. It was a strong runining 454 tbi motor but it needed a good cleaning.
It was from a rusty plow truck.

I don't like paying good money for motors. I like them cheap, and when they come with a crap load of other parts thats even better!
I know I could turn a buck on this motor, but I have a 454 about the same vintage thats has triple the miles on it thats been in dry storage for a few years that I would sell before this one.
