Title: Ride height 77 K5 2wd?
Post by: gclark on November 28, 2012, 09:16:48 pm
Does anyone have any factory specs of how high the fenders sat on a 2wd 77 Blazer? I am going to lower it with 3" spindles plus a lowered coil, but would like a baseline so I can tell how far the coils are down from original. Same situation out back - likely will do a flip, but need to know where the leaf is supposed to put the truck and then I can determine how far I want to go down.

Finally, if you have the ride height spec, if you have the tire size that went with most 15" wheels, that would be ideal.

Thanks a lot!

I do not know if that even exist.  Why don't you just use your setup now for a base line and determine how far you want to drop it ?

This

You are not baselining it if you are not measuring off of your beginning variables.

Since these trucks are no longer new and have server thousand miles on them there is now place that states the actual ride height or specifically what you are wanting to know, the distance from the ground to the wheelwell.  The only measurement would be the ground clearance.  The 2WD Blazer would have the same general height as a pickup though.  Most have 235/75/15's.

Thanks guys. I can wing it and figure it out. I was trying to baseline a stock 2wd since that is what the 3" drop spindles and 2" coils are based on. The trouble is that the Blazer is already lowered (the wrong way) and I need to fix it before the build is complete. Thanks for the input. I will start with a 3+2 drop and then go from there to dial it in.
