I have just started noticing a single pop in suspension when I turn wheel from one way to the other after backing out of parking space. I had a similar noise earlier this year but it stopped after changing sway bar bushings. Also have bad tire wear on outside 2" of both front tires. Not sure I this is related but am about to install new tires and want get this issue fixed before hand and before winter. Thanks for any help.

Sorry it's 1985 gmc Sierra Classic 4x4 stock suspension

1/2 or one ton? You defiantly have front end issues. Have you checked any of the front end parts for wear?

Does it do it only when you are moving of can you make it do it with the truck just sitting there? Could be a bunch of things like ball joints, spring shackles, loose steering box, cracked frame at the steering box....
Also have bad tire wear on outside 2" of both front tires.
I would start by checking the ball joints first. It only takes a few minutes if you have a jack.

As thirsty said, you need to check the suspension and see if anything is loose.

I thought about ball joints but I've had them go bad on another truck and it created more of a wavy tread wear. Thanks for the info guys I'll post an update soon
