I recently acquired my mom's truck that I have been in love with for years. I am trying to fix all the issues it has and one is that it doesn't always turn off when the key is turned and pulled out. What could possibly be the problem? The engine is new only has about 10K miles. It has a Edelbrock 650 Electric Choke, A/T. I recently replaced the fuel sender assembly and fuel pumps in both tanks at they were both shot. Have a leak in the tranny but I'm sure that is filter and gasket related. So I hope I have given enough info to get an answer. I'm thinking bad ignition switch but not sure.

Check with a test light or a voltmeter on the positive side of the coil or the + terminal on the distributor, and see if the power turns off when you turn the ING . off You could try unplugging the Ing. switch
