Post by: 78chevyshortbed on December 12, 2012, 02:47:43 pm
i have a 1978 Chevy Fleetside with a 4 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift. im thinking about switching over to just a 6 inch suspension lift and i was wondering if you guys have went through this and if you could inform me on how much hassle it would be to switch all the steering and drive shaft and all the stuff over. Thanks.

If you order the 6" kit with the raised steering arm and shocks, not much hassle at all.  You can di it over the weekend or on a Saturday if you stayed on it.

If I was going to go with the 6 inch suspension then yes I was going to ditch the body lift.

In my opinion it would look better, but I don' like body lifts.

If I was just going to keep the 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body I was going to cut the body lift down to 1 and 1/2 inches, but I like the looks of a 6 inch suspension lift better by itself.
