What's up fellas.
I just purchased a 1973 chevy c10 long bed and I can't wait to dig into her and learn about these awesome trucks.

Don't have much history on her. But I plan to build one.

She came with a 350  and a th350 tranny.
Eddlebrock 4bbl carb
Hooker headers
Flow master exhaust
Msd ignition

And

Leaky tranny pan
Bouncy needles
Squeaky brakes
No heater
Blinkers don't work

And I'm sure a bucket list of other problems..but she ha a clean body, just a few holes in doors, and some weird work on the roof..looks like poor bondo job.

Anyway..looking forward to picking some brains and reading about your builds and repairs.

Lots of good info here. I'm going to San Diego in February for work and have a day in between with nothing to do. Any suggestions? I've never been out there.

San Diego has some great sites, some of my favorites.

USS Midway Museum
910 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA
(619) 544-9600

San Diego Zoo
2920 Zoo Drive, San Diego
(619) 231-1515

San Diego Zoo 'Safari Park'
15500 San Pasqual Valley Rd, Escondido, CA
(760) 747-8702

They also have Sea World, Old town San Diego State historic Park.  I personally like to visit Museums, parks, and history sites on my vacations, but that is not for everyone.

All very excellent...got Lego land if you have kids...beach cities..pub crawls,  romance...name your pleasure and San Diego can make it happen " for a price"

Welcome from Ohio! A 73 was my first truck. It was my Grandad's. Are those mirrors original? I know they are Chevy, but somehow it seems like there was an easrlier version.

They are not factory..I was gonna put the originals on..just kinda small.

Previous owner did that mod.

Gonna have to fix the original holes or the new holes for the current mirrors..

We will see when I get there..working mechanical issues for now.
