I have a 82 cab that I am installing that I think had AC. I will not be installing AC on my truck. I noticed that the area on the firewall is different where the heater core attaches. Can I use the AC hardware when completeing the firewall assembly but plug up any hose attacments that the AC would use?. Or do I create the exact same hole that the non AC firewall would look like and install all non AC equipment?

Bake74, thanks for the info. The kit looks to cost more than I want to spend. My truck will not be a show truck and the challenge of doing the mods myself just makes it that more rewarding. Thanks again.

It may or may not be what you're looking for, but it is pretty simple.

Make a template off the style you want and weld up the hole/cut hole accordingly. This this is in the post above.
