30 amp fuse keeps blowing for power locks. I've done the trouble shooting(starting with schematic) and have the short isolated to power feed coming through bulkhed at drivers side door. Those familiar with this are aware of the rubber "boot" conduit that goes from door to truck cab that is pop rivited in place. The questions is do i have to pull the door? or will all those connectors feed through the rubber boot? I'm pretty certain theres going to be a fair amount of disassembly in my future.

They will feed through the rubber conduit, but it is a PITA. Use a fish tape and some pulling soap. Be patient.

I have never personally taken one of our trucks with factory power locks apart, so I do not know for sure but I run wires through those all the time with fish tape/coat hangers and dish soap all the time. I have done this in tiny compact cars also when installing car audio. Just be patience or you may poke through the boot or hurt one of the other wires.

Update ...,pulled door panel and kick panel. No need for schematic or multimeter Ray Charles could have seen the bare wire that was rubbing on metal. Looks like plastic keeper ear broke which allowed harness some extra movement when door was opening And closing . Case closed
