Title: cleaning cab - 1983 c10
Post by: mikesantos on February 11, 2013, 09:37:17 pm
anyone use any special cleaners or secrets to get off years of dirt? seat belt is super dirty as well as the cabs celling. i guess there was a headliner on it? and it came off so it's just metal the colour of the truck.  but there's some pretty ugly crud in some places.

Thanks!

The seat belt fabric can be cleaned with brake clean, and compressed air, or soak it for a little bit in Castrol Super Clean, or Auto Zones version Purple Power
As far as crud, and or mold. Castrol Super Clean, or Purple Power works on more that just grease.

I make an approx. 40/60 home brew of Purple Power, & laundry detergent for my shop cloths.

I used a diluted solution of Super Clean and water and soaked my seatbelts.  There are pics in my Crew Cab members ride section.
