Here is look at my Big Blue, has been back home in Temple Texas for over a year while I trained and deployed. Finally today my dad sent me a picture of it loaded up on the truck getting ready to head to Oceanside Californa to be with me again.
-
Wow, I can't even imagine how excited you are.. Good for you!
-
You should have some fun in Oceanside with that truck.
-
Yeah it will be nice to drive, to bad when it got here i found a mountain of leaks that need fixing
-
Gaskets are cheap and so is your labor, start attacking them one at a time and you'll get her tightened up.
-
very nice
-
Thanks yeah, I going to start taking care of them
-
Well tightened down then oil pan bolts, and tranny pan bolts sense rebuild, all bolts on oil pan where loose. hopefully that takes care of leaky pan. as for the tranny pan most were tight, so could be from the servo seals or dipstick seal.
-
Well went for a ride after tightening down the oil pan bolts. and the loosened up again. so I am going to put lock tight on then and re tighten. should take care of the leaking pan.
-
Lock tight should work, if not use small lock washers.
-
All oil pan bolts removed and applied lock tight and lock washers (good idea Bake) when for a nice ride and went to check and still nice and tight. although still a leak from the back. I thought it was the rear main but I shined a flash light up from the bottom and noticed the rear of the passenger valve cover looks like it leaking and running down the block on the starter. Replace that and hopes that the last of it.

You know once you get all these leaks fixed, at least you will know what has new gaskets, if there is a next time you know what should not be leaking.
