I am getting close to being done with this cluster issue and am posting some pictures. If you look at these and can see the fuel gauge pegged at full when the truck is off.....I would be happy for anyone to give some feedback for this. When my truck is off, the fuel gauge is pegged past full. As soon as I start the truck, the fuel gauge goes to somewhere around normal. I have noticed that both tanks (dual tanks) are about 1/4 tank off. When I am empty, the fuel gauge reads 1/4.
Any thoughts?

I can only post 4 pics at a time so I am adding some. Side note - the red bezel is the old one. You can see the stereo area where the bezel was just hacked. Also, I got another panel that mounts under the steering wheel, where the fuel switch is, and painted it, added the fuel switch with some Dremmel work, and painted the plastic housing that goes under the steering wheel.
What I am amazed at is the fact that every time I do some work, it takes about 5.2 hours longer than I thought it would. I didn't get nearly as far tonight as I thought I would.

still having fuel gauge issues? I have the same problem

I am knee deep into getting my passenger tank working again. When the gauge is pegged beyond full means there is an open circuit, so you need to clean the fuel tank grounds on the frame or check the ground as the buss bar (position #5). It could be a short in the wire inside the tank too. The ground wires can either be BLU, PPL, LT Green or BLK wire that attaches to a bolt in the frame above the selector valve for passenger side and the driver side is in the opening between bed and cab on frame.
