Title: 1984 C30 Cab and Chassis

Worked all day last Saturday getting the bed loose.  Today my brother came over with his son and between 4 of us we got her off.  It is due to go bye bye first thing Tuesday morning.  Now I need to drill 6 holes in the frame on top so a regular box will bolt to it.  I guess cab and chassis trucks did not have the holes stamped for some reason...  Next up is to un-duallyize my crew cab and transfer all the stuff to this one, stay tuned.

I have everything I need off my crew cab dually.

Been busy getting a pickup going so I can use it.  Since no one was in the market for a single wheel cab and chassis I put the 85 bed on it, rear bumper, hitch and rear seat from the 87 Crew cab.  I have 2 more matching tires like the rear to put on but she is road worthy.  There is a larger than normal gap between the bed and cab that I am thinking about clamping some 4" PVC capped at the bottom for shovels and brooms.

     That is the one that came with the utility bed right ?  Are you completing it and making it run to see or keep ?

Yes it came with the utility bed on it.  I will use it until my 85 C20 is back on the road.  It runs fantastic and costs a whopping $162 per 6 months to insure it.

i forgot how much i paid, but it's either $191.67 or $224 for 6 months with state farm.  A 1/2 ton.

The other thing you could do (I know its temp until your c20 is done) But you could fab up a custom metal "headache rack" that could have mounts for tools and you could put lights on the top so you could light up whatever you are doing. And you could make it mount to front of bed or down to frame and that could fill the gap.

Well I got to digging around and found my last 16 conversion lug nuts so I could put the new front tires on and take it for a spin.  Even though the idler arm needs replaced it goes on down the road straight.  I am very pleased with it so far.  Only 1 license plate light is out, everything else works as it should.
