boy does this bring back memories  ;D

well my truck sat for a couple years, we were fixing it all up and stated with the interior.

all the ducting in the dash was covered in mice crap and nests. inside and out. the bench seat foam was everywhere in the cab and there was mice crap everywhere. pulled the seat out and i was using a shop vac for probably two hours before i got done! LOL

the truck stunk of mice it was nasty.

so then about a month later when we were going to start it (caught on fire so we had to replace the electrical to get it started again after 2 years) we got it to start and i look down under the truck and there was foam and insulation coming out of the mufflers and pipes from mice nests! lol  ;D

but yeah it was nastly lol

Mine was infested also.  I wish I would have taken more pictures.  Pretty much everywhere there were nests.  Today I was pulling the heater box out to replace the heater core and I found this:

And this:

They were also in the cowl, in the hood frame, under the seat, I found 4 dead mice in the coolant overflow tank, the exhaust, on the intake manifold, pretty much everywhere.

1975 k20 4x4 crewcab (I know Capt says they didn't exist) But the mice took most of the interior and packed it into the bellhousing through the throw out bearing rod boot and packed it so tight that when we tried pull starting this truck on dry pavement and couldn't get it to turn over, the rear wheels would just skid and stay locked up. The material got pinched between flywheel and bellhousing.Everyone thought the motor was seized however after 2 hours will long needle nose pliers we filled a 5 gallon bucket with debris.Motor ran great after that!

I forgot mine had it in the bellhousing also.  Pulled the starter off and got a big surprise.

Those critters are crafty.

Think about it, your a mouse your find a nice dry bellhousing and plenty of material for bedding.......pretty soon it's like call the neighbors! and you have a small mice village. Thats why they make cats.
