Hey guys I am new to this site & all the feedback & info is greatly appreciated.
I am planning on replacing the door panels in my 87 shortbed & the ones I bought r the plain Jane black molded plastic. I want to put the silverado trim pcs on them but if I just drill holes & mount them then the door handle trim pc sticks out to far. Anyone have any experience modifying these door panels?
I just want to kno what's gonna work before I start drilling & cutting the new panels!
Thanks for any info.
God bless

your making more work for yourself if your trying to convert door panels, just go to the local junk yard and find some used silverado ones, or order some. it'll be way easier that way. im not saying its impossible, just alot more work than whats necessary.

& I've already bought all my paint & primer.

The base door panels and the upgrade door panels are not molded the same, you won't make all the Silverado parts fit on base doors...
