So, I when start my i have engine interferance coming out of the radio. I have heard of this before but for the life of me cant remember what i need to be checking. Guess i need to check grounds

To start, make sure the hood is grounded with a strap. Try using the one dangling off your firewall that you mentioned in a separate thread. And, check the antenna lead connections to the radio and antenna. If you have a mast antenna, make sure the base is anchored to a clean ground.

Sargent, is the interference a "whiirrrrrrr" or "zzzZZZZZzz" sound that changes with RPM? A 'whir' is often associated with alternator operation, while a 'zzz' is generally ignition noise.
