Title: radio interfeance

So, I when start my i have engine interferance coming out of the radio. I have heard of this before but for the life of me cant remember what i need to be checking. Guess i need to check grounds

To start, make sure the hood is grounded with a strap.  Try using the one dangling off your firewall that you mentioned in a separate thread.  And, check the antenna lead connections to the radio and antenna.  If you have a mast antenna, make sure the base is anchored to a clean ground.

Sargent, is the interference a "whiirrrrrrr" or "zzzZZZZZzz" sound that changes with RPM?  A 'whir' is often associated with alternator operation, while a 'zzz' is generally ignition noise.  Follow this link for useful information: Electrical Noise Prevention (http://www.termpro.com/asp/pubs.asp?ID=121).
