I see there's a lot of discussion on tire size here.   My question is what would be the best tire size for me?   I have an 82, 2-wheel drive 6.2 Chevy that I'm getting ready to restore.   I purchased a set of staggered factory rally rims.   I want the widest tire for the rear 8" with out ballooning out, more straight up and down look.   Same with the front 7"s    Any pictures would be appreciated.   Thanks

I have 255/60/15 on my 15x8 Corvette rally wheels and they look straight up and down. You could probably go a little wider on the 8 inch wheels , but the 255.60/15 on the 7 inch is probably the widest tire.

By chance have a picture to share?

For comparison, the front is 255/70-15 and rear is 315/70-15.
 Both are 8" wheels.
