Title: Annual training in Dallas 4/16,17
Post by: zieg85 on April 19, 2013, 02:53:46 pm
Well every year I go to Dallas for a 2 day training program on new products and other programs new to doing my job.  I got to play with our poly-urea technology which is basically similar to bed liner coating.  What a cool technology and so different than anything I normally have to contend with.  Talk about moving quick and hosing it on like a fire hose.  25-50 mils lickity split.  Takes a 20K piece of equipment to apply the coating and it is dry to touch in under a minute.  I should have taken pictures. The unit is being shipped to our Chicago facility so maybe there is a bed liner in my future

That sounds cool. Is it color mix-able or only black like bedliners were for so many years?

If the machine is $20k I bet it's a pretty pricy bed liner. Unless you could score it as a "demo".

When it comes to Chicago and I start playing around with it I will shoot a video of it.  I guess a mixed gallon is around $30 is what I've been told.  You need that kind of equipment because of the extremely short pot life, like 15 seconds and it is set up...
