Sup guys,i was wondering about the wiring of the orignal gauges, if i want to check my dash and have new gauges, maybe digital..by adding aftermarket gauges i wont have the trans. indicator right?
-
if your asking about the little gauge thingy that shows you what gear your in(?) that just runs off of a cable attached to your shifter on your steering column so you wouldnt lose that. other than that im not sure what you mean by a Trans. indicator. maybe some others will chime in.

It's the gear indicator, if I'm putting new gauges would there be a way to make it digital? Same with the speedometer?
-
None of the kits I've seen have that. Check Dakota Digital, they have some nice stuff.

Dakota Digital has a speedo combo that can also so what gear your in digitally, however you have to buy a optional part to convert our trucks (I believe it hooks to the trans linkage and you get rid of the little cable on steering column). However it does not go in the same spot, so you would have an empty little window where it use to be.

Ummm ok , I gotta look into that , thanks!

On the Dakota Digital gauges (that I sell in the store) The empty window is covered with a black blockoff like the manual trucks had.
