Post by: chevyboy73 on April 25, 2013, 09:49:55 pm

Seen pictures of them but never in person on a Chevy. There was a few guys around my neck of the woods growing up that had Fords with them though .

The fall guy truck had/has them and they talk about it in detail;  You may want to google it.

I've only seen one truck with it, actually it was with the box but without the door...  Along the same lines of Blazin's comments; for Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico they were more common on Ford trucks of that era than the GMC/Chevy trucks.

I wonder if it's the same one from the 67-72 trucks?

The Fall Guy truck didn't have them. The doors it had in the bed were a custom built set up. The storage box was above the floor line. The door that opened went from top to bottom, or pretty close to it.

There is a guy that lives by me with a completely restored one that he takes to car show and it has the compartment. Its different, but I do not know how much I would use it and it makes it so you cannot have dual tanks.
