Ok so my break light are not working bulbs are good I looked under dash looks like the switch works when break pedal is pushed other then that what's my 1st move to getting them working?
1. It's a 79 c10
2 running lights work and blinkers also
Thanks guys

Maybe it's because you "break"ed them ;) backprobe the brake light switch with a test light and test the actuation of the switch or disconnect the electrical connector and jumper the terminals.

Good idea and you auditioning for stand up?? Lol jk thank you gonna do it soon as I get home

I had a problem with one of my sockets (where the light bulb goes in) I had to wire in a new socket.
-
Found that somehow the switch had twisted and one wire pulled off :) thank God for easy fixes
