i was looking for a new set of valve covers to install after i change out the gaskets but couldn't find the right set. all the ones i had found on-line had holes for the vacuum lines but none had a place for the oil-fill tube. the engine isnt the original engine that came in the truck (had a 305 originally) the previous owner swapped in a 350. the picture is of the passenger side valve cover (the one that i cant find) any advice or help would be great

I haven't seen one of those in a while.. Is it actually part of the valve cover, or does it twist off like your oil cap? I don't remember what it was on, but I did have one that unscrewed. Most I've owned just had the oil cap there, no extension tube.

ill try to remove it and see how it goes. if it just twists off like my oil cap ill probably remove it altogether and just leave it with the oil cap flush against the valve cover. will post again after i tinker with it.

it looks like it could be removed. it has a bracket that bolts on to another bracket attached to the engine to prevent it from unscrewing or coming out. so that extension can be removed but i still cant find a cover that has the oil cap and the vacuum tube hole.
