Friend has an 06 GMC. He is complaining that the truck starts too quickly. What he told me is he goes to start his truck and after a slight turn of the key the truck starts, far too early for the ignition. I have never heard of this before and do not really have a solid idea what the issue is. Any ideas or is my friend just crazy?

and the problem is??? Why wouldn't that be a good thing?
-
Yeah I said something similar the first time he told me. Its weird and he has tried to duplicate it and of course it never happens. I think it might be likely he is making a big deal out of nothing.

Maybe he means that it starts before he hits start??, if that's the case I'd say it's a faulty ignition switch???..

unless unburnt fuel is sitting ready to fire with the first spark and the starter zings after it fires up not retracting fast enough may be his objection (if that makes sense?)

That's a possibility..

some people complain their truck start too soon... and others complain their truck won´t start... go figure..
