Title: chevy pick up fuel lines

hello. i have a long wheelbase chevy half ton 4x4. i'm not exactly sure what year it is. but when i got the truck, it had the fuel lines removed and a electric fuel pump with a rubber hose going to a plastic gas can. i was wondering how was the fuel lines routed from the factory. i would like to recreate how the lines was when the truck was new. thank you for your time

Down the pasenger side frame rail. Then depending on if it was dual tank, or single tank. It could run to the tank selector valve, or up and over the top of the frame behind the rear cab mount to  the sending unit. Or if its drivers side tank across the rear cab mount cross member and over the top of the frame to the tank sending unit.

i think it was in 1980 is when gm moved the tank to the passengers side

My '76 has its tank on the passenger side, and my '83 is on the drivers side..

lol it was late and wasnt thinking but in 1981 is when it moved to the drivers side. that post should of said "moved from passengers side"

its not that complicated just make sure you bolt them down and they dont rub on anything. then connect point A to point B

Just a tip for anyone doing their own custom lines, this stuff is easy to flare and bends by hand makes it very easy in tight spots and comes in bulk rolls..

Inlinetube.com and classictube has prebent lines for our trucks.  I have used both company's products.
