Title: Sump removal
Post by: Bitzer! on June 14, 2013, 03:14:11 pm
Hi guys, just a quicky!

Is it possible to remove the sump while the engine is still bolted in place? It looks like there is room to manoeuvre it out but I don't want to drain/unbolt only to find the engine needs to be lifted.

Any ideas if it can be done?

Cheers

Andy

This on the crew or the Blazer?  I have done them with it still bolted in the truck.

It's on the crew. Developed a leak that needs doing if I'm going to put the ole girl to work!
Going to attempt the gasket change with the engine in situ, I really don't wanna be taking it out agin!!

It should come out of the crew with it in place.  Most of the ones I have dropped were 2wd.
