I have a 1986 C10 Silverado with electric windows. The widow will only go down about an inch and no further. I have the door panel loose, but I can't grab the top to get it loose because the window is up. I need the panel off in order to see what is wrong with the window.
Somebody please help an old fat man out.

If everything is loose, hold pressure pushing upwards. Have the door pad tilted toward you only as far as you need to clear the metal brace that the arm rest secures to. Pound lightly with the back of your fist at the top ledge just above the aluminum trim piece. It should break loose

That's how you do it. Even with the window down it still up far enough to me in the way. But its not the window that's the problem. Its more of the metal clips you can't see on the weather stripping

Thanks for the info, I was able to get the panel off now to figure out my electrical problem(s).
