Hey all, I've been trying my hand at bodywork on my truck. Anyway, this past weekend I pulled my windshield because I saw a bit of rust pitting around the edges of the seal. Well, after running around the edge of the windshield frame with a wire wheel, I'm stuck with this:

It's my understanding that there is no patch panel currently being made for this area. That picture doesn't show all the rust; in all I'd say at least 50% of the bottom of the windshield frame needs to be replaced. Any tips for making my own patch panel or am I better off trying to find a section of good metal from a donor cab?

Man that stinks! If you have lots and lots of time you should be able to make it out of several small pieces, but either a cab swap or patches from a donor would be easier.

I have the good old Canadian rust problem as well. I've been trying to find patches or a donor cab for a awhile. Most I find are in the same shape. I'm thinking about a cab swap. Much less work and no rust.
