I have a 1978 Chevy c 20 that I would like to put dual wheels on.are the front spindles the same from c20 and c30? I also have the dual wheel brake drums for the rear so what am I looking at to do all of this.
thank you for the help

Front spindles should be the same, just different rotors. The rear ends are different between the two, actually 3. The cab and chassis dually version, the standard C30 dually pick up and the single wheel. To my knowledge the drums do not swap between any of them.

so I can't dual wheel the rear?

You can dually the rear but you have to get a drum to drum set for what you are seeking to do. The width of a cab and chassis dually rear end is narrower than the dually rear end from a dually pick up.

zieg, we ran into the front axle problem before. my buddys 3+3 had dana 60 up front he for some reason doesn't like the budd wheels up front so he wants to go with the srw its not the rotor but it is the hub thats different. some people want srw and some want drw. so there are some that will trade. the only thing is if you want a new hub you have to buy the rotor but if you want a new rotor you can get away with just buying the rotor. bad part the price for new is about $150-$180, while the rotors are about 50
