hello. i was given a 77 k-10 a short while ago,that sadly did not have any paperwork to it. i think it's still worth saving. i honestly think trying to get a title, would be next to impossible. but to me, i still think it's a good truck. i'll give it a good home. so my questions, how would i install the glove box? i can not seem to get it to line up properly on the dashboard. i always liked the look of the 1980 model. would i have to get new fenders, or could i just get away with a set of replacement headlight buckets and bezels? also there is a 2 wheel drive for sale as parts close by. i remember reading once that converting one of these trucks to 4 wheel drive was nearly a bolt in operation. thank you for allowing me a moment of your time

I do not know what part of the country you live in, but have you checked with your local dept. of motor vehicles to see if the truck is reported stolen or has liens ?
If not, I bet it would not be hard to get a replacement title, especially if it is no longer in the DMV system.

do the paper work first. if it is stolen you will lose all you put into it

the title was clean, just the down side was no one put it on a non opt. from what i heard, from the previous owner an older gentleman started rebuilding the truck years back but past on, then it went from owner to owner, nothing being done to it. so it just ended up siting, rusting. i did manage to get a partishall title, because they want it smogged. but that would most likely be quite a while. so, i'll give the o'girl a home, in the garage out of the weather

i dont know crap about partishal titles but as long as dmv said it was good, thats all would need to hear lol. does your state offer a historic or classic tags if so you might not need to get it smogged just more restrictions on when and how you can drive it. in md you only supposed to drive on the weekends/ to and from shows but as long as your not a pain to the cops they wont bother you. some classmates in school drove chevells with hot rod and historic tags all the time. cops left them alone cause they didnt cause no other problems

i would need to smog the truck for be able to a complete title. that will be quite a while down the road.

ok so partishal titles are more like a bill of sale just saying its yours.
