Title: Gas Peddle Is sticking
Post by: K10king on August 09, 2013, 03:55:13 am
Okay so I just bought a 79 k10 not to long ago. First vehicle and it's give fits here and there but it's a decent truck for the money I spent on it. 350 with a 4-barrel carb. 6in lift runnin on 33-12.50s. But anyways, I am have a bit of trouble with the gas peddle sticking and not wanting to depress. I've looked behind the peddle and there is no obstacles. And I've checked out the throttle cable and it is alright too. So I am stumped.

And for a truck with all that power id like to know that my gas peddle is working properly. Because when it does finally move it practically goes all the way to the floor.

well, welcome from maryland. first thing i would check is to disconnect the cable from the carb and try to move each one see where its binding up at. might be a spring problem on the intake/carb also so make sure its set up so it wont cause any problems
