figure i should make a post here i am from minnesota im 20 but this isnt my 1st 80s chevy iv had about 8 others but my current one is a 83 reg cab long box 8in lift in the front and 6 in the back ( still looking for rear lift springs) and just puting in a freshly built 383 will be back running in about a week or so blew the old motor valv broke off and put a hole in the cyl wall and snapped a conecting rod

i built the front bumper and there is a 12k lb badlands winch on the front with 50 ft of 7/16ths synthetic line
its got 3/4 ton axles with 4:10 gears and rear end is welded only things i still need for the truck are extended front brake lines and a drop pitman arm
this is how it sits right now

no i havent wasnt sure if i wanted to do a shackle flip or just get 8in lift springs dont really need flex its just driven on the street and its my mudder

from what i understand the shackle flip and a 4" lift will give you a softer ride than a 8" all springs.

yea i know that part but with 8in springs up front i can make em compress like an inch wile jumping on the front bumper and i weigh 300 lbs so its just a rough ride no matter wat so a soft ride dont really bother me
