manual door locks are sticking intermittently on both doors, the symptoms are always the same, feels like a binding sensation

unable to pull up plunger
unable to turn key
unable to use latch from inside

anybody ever have this problem? is there some component i should focus on in particular?

you have to take the door panel out but.. i want to say i seen this problem but while rolling down a window it would catch on the lock and lock the windows. then you wouldnt be able to unlock it till you rolled the window back up. dont remember where or what vehicle this was on but inspect the plungers rod and see if its hanging up on something. but after this happens what do you do to fix the problem?

after it happens i just keeping fussing with the plungers, latch or key for a few minutes and it eventually lets loose.
i plan to pull the door panel and have a go at it.

When this happens, depress the outside handle button a few times and see if it stops binding. Usually cleaning and lubing the latch assembly will cure this problem.

I experience this occasionally with my '80 stepside.  It's frustrating when it happens, but I haven't taken the time to diagnose it.  I'll be interested to see what you find.
