Title: Hello from Seattle....87 silverado
Post by: cccp907 on August 16, 2013, 12:09:16 am
Just wanted to say hello to everyone.
I just inherited a 1987 k1500 from my grandpa.
Third owner.
188,000 on it.
Painted once before and most of the chrome pieces are new.

I work for Firestone and cant wait to start working on the truck.
Not dropping it or raising it. It will be a OEM look.

few things i want to do and will be browsing or asking you guys about???
1. stereo stuff. like are kick panel speakers worth it...(like the ebay ones?)
2. is a cam worth installing?
3. full exhaust and where to get one that is 50 states legal?
4. any DIY you guys can throw at me would be awesome

Thanks and cant wait to learn more stuff about my truck

Picked up the truck today from getting it shipped. had to bang on the starter for like a hour to start it... might need a new starter from the workout  :o

about the hubs i wouldnt worry about changing them now. i would buy 2 spare manual so if they do break you will have them. you could get away with buying just one for now, but for the most part you dont know if they will work till your stuck
