Title: scrapin crossmember!
Post by: flintco1 on April 14, 2005, 10:13:00 am
I have a 87 lwb 1/2 ton bagged.  the rear will lay the frame on the ground but the front is 4" from touching mainly because the a-arms arm smashed against the bags.  thought about control arms,  Already have djm 3" spindles.  air ride said their controll arms would only drop 2".   Is my only option to Z the frame.  trying to lay crossmember by may 13th for showfest.

The problem with the front of these truck is the lower control arms are the lowest point at the front.  Using my method of dropping the crossmember you can get it 1.5" lower.  That combined with the proper bag mounts will get you on 20's.

here is a post where a customer that bought my crossmember installed it on his truck along with some bags I sold him and Air Rides StrongArms.
