So got a 35$ gift card from PepBoys, plus I got my military discount of 10% so my brand new BOSS 6x9 speakers of 49.99+tax cost me a whopping 13.59. They are going to be great in Big Blue

Where are you mounting them?
-
I'd like to mount them in the corner the cab.I just have to get some brackets
-
Just an FYI,
I installed 6x9's in the rear cab corners and also split the front center speaker into a left and right. Just couldn't control it enough to get the volume out of the rears before the fronts drowned out. I added a cheap amp to help drive the rears and that definitely did the trick. Sounds awesome.
Just my 2 cents...

Hey I got a cheap little amp I was going to do the same thing. where you get those speaker boxes
-
I made them from MDF but 1/2" plywood would work just as well. Took some trial and error to get the fit right. Good thing is that, once you have one side fitting, you can just reverse it to make the other side. Then I just used some 3M spray mount and some cheap carpet from Home Depot to cover them. Are you doing the speakers up front too? Those give it a cab-filling sound but the amp makes all the difference.

Steer clear of plywood/osb(Blandex) for speaker enclosures..it tends to buzz and make a significant amount of extra racket due to the multi-layer construction. Stick with particle board, MDF, or solid birch.
