Well I bought this truck a few months ago and thought I would upgrade the interior a little bit and be done with it. I've now become obsessed and want to do a little better restoration. It has a 350 4speed and runs great so I've started with the cosmetic issues. Im going to go with a dark gray/gunmetal paint with black interior.I recently bought all the black trim, seatbelts,&visors out of another truck and currently ripping out mine for the conversion . Thoughts on sound proofing the cab? I attached a few pictures if anyone is interested. I will have a lot of questions along the way and any help will be appreciated.

Welcome to the club. We all have been there and got one that we said we would just get it going and either sell it or drive for awhile, then we get bit by the bug and that is all there is to say.

Couple options on sound proofing. Lizard skin or adhesive soundproof mat

Thanks I hope to get these floors flattened in the next 2 weeks and then I'm on to the sound proofing. Your links on the relocating the gas tank have been very helpful.

Ick. Those stripes look like the truck is from a 1970s tough guy movie.
Please, I beg of you, paint this beautiful creature. Restore it to its rightful beauty!

lol that is what I say. I'd like to meet the guy who ordered this truck with metallic brown paint ,worlds ugliest stripe package, and burgundy interior. Its in the transformation process now. I have all the interior except the headliner ready to install as soon as I get these floor boards flattened out. Going black/black
