Alright so here goes. Finally got big block sit in truck everything went good except my fuel pump. I have the oem tall one and it hits inside frame where my lines hook up at, it's an 86 chevy 3/4 ton. So they make a smaller pump or am I just looking too hard? Can't wait to hear it run and am on the final things to be completed to get it that way. Anyone have a pic of how they have theirs hooked up?

BRB, I will go and take a picture of my 454 fuel pump in my 1985 C20. Fuel pumps are fairly inexpensive and if it were me I would just get a new one for your truck, not what the actual engine came out of

After taking about 20 pictures this is the best I could come up with, sorry. My 85 retains all the original emission controls including dual air pumps. Mine looks like a longer version of SBC's.

Thanks for the reply! Is the bowl a longer one? Fuel inlets on mine are against crossmember

Ahh I didn't see you did say it was longer. I wonder what causes mine to be different

My suggestion is to look on-line at you local autozone and plug in all the information on your truck with the 7.4L as the engine. If they have it in stock go take a look at it. They are not that expensive,

I went ahead and one of those Holley avenger pumps, about the size of a small block. Thanks for the replies
