Title: rear leaf springs

i have a 1/2 ton 2wd 1974 chevy  it has 8 leaf rear springs and i was wandering which leafs i could take out so it would have a smoother ride. do you take 3 or 4 off the bottom or what do you guys think?  i already have on some drop hanger of sorts that i built.

You need to remove them from the bottom.  BTW, If yours has 8 leafs, it is the HD suspension.  I would try 3 and see if you like the ride.
